Institute for Music and Health

The Institute for Music and Health (IMH) was founded by John Diamond M.D. in 1992 as a training and teaching center for his life’s work.  Originally located in London, England, the Institute relocated to New York State following Dr. Diamond’s move to the US in 1997.  Currently based in Verbank, eighty miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley, the Institute provides training and service for those interested in using music for wellness – The Diamond Method for Music – and for Dr. Diamond’s work more generally, which he now refers to as The Diamond Path of Life.

The Institute mainly services the Tri-State Region (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) but our student base is international: we currently train and teach students from Britain, South America, and Australia.
